This is the transcript of the 'MiniPC - Screen sharing between windows devices' video.
Peter:
In your classroom, you may find yourself wanting to be able to move around the learning space but still be in control of what is being displayed on the MLD. You can do this by screen sharing or casting your Windows device to the MLD's mini PC. This allows the teacher to move around the room and present what is on their device without the need for cables. To set this up, start with the mini PC on the MLD. Click on the start menu and select connect from the list of applications. Take note of the device name in the middle of the screen. This is the same as the device name that appears on the desktop screen. This is unable to be changed. The person who is screen casting from their laptop will need to press the Windows button and K together. This will bring up a list of devices on the right hand side of their screen. Simply match the name that is displayed by the MLD's mini PC in the connect app.
You may find the first connection drops out so simply reconnect and the connection will be more stable the second time you connect. You'll be able to see the laptop shared screen on the MLD. If the connect app window on the MLD is not taking up the full screen, click or tap on the maximize icon on the top right hand corner of the window. Touch input on the MLD can be enabled for the screen sharing laptop. This may be useful if you leave your laptop on a desk on one side of the room and you want to change between applications when you are near the MLD. To do this, simply tick the box next to allow mouse, keyboard, touch and pen input for this device. You also have the ability to change the projection mode on the Windows device, using the Windows and P key simultaneously. The default mode is duplicate, meaning the same content is shown on both screens. It may be useful to extend the screen, meaning that the MLD or mini PC becomes a second screen to the laptop. This allows the user to show different content simultaneously on the different screens.
