The Student Filmmaker

The challenge for any teacher is knowing what their students know and understand.  What is the secret to making their learning ‘visible’ and ‘observable’?

The stem.T4L team developed a five-part series called 'The Student Filmmaker' (Intranet)  to introduce NSW Public School students to video-making skills they can use to demonstrate their understanding of the ideas and concepts taught during class.

Empower your students to capture, edit and share multi-modal media using tools provided by the NSW Department of Education to all teachers and students in NSW Public Schools.

Please note the course materials are only accessible to students and teachers in NSW Public Schools.

  • Each module includes a student task that can be submitted to support teachers tracking student engagement and progress.
  • Each module takes 30  to 45 minutes to complete, including the student task.
