Transcript of the 'HDi Edge - Interactivity and digital inking' video

This is the transcript of the 'HDi Edge - Interactivity and digital inking' video

Kelly:

The HDi Interactive Panel has a range of built-in applications that can be used in the classroom. In addition, the MLD is also provided with a department imaged Mini PC so you can access many familiar Windows and web-based applications. In this video, we'll look at the interactive functionality and native digital inking tools available on the HDi MLD.

The HDi comes with a stylus pen. The pen is magnetic and can be stored on the side of the screen. The board will allow for multiple users to work simultaneously, allowing staff and students to work collaboratively, such as when they're engaging in a brainstorming activity. You can also use fingers to operate the touch features. However, you may find the stylus easier to use and more accurate.

When using the HDi Whiteboarding tool, you can also use your fist or the back of your hand as an erase tool, rather than selecting it from the drawing toolbar. To annotate over the top of your MLD screen, select the pen tool, press Set in the bottom right. In the picture options, you have a transparent overlay, and now you can draw on the screen.
