Google Jamboard

Google Jamboard is winding down

In 2023 Google announced that they will no longer continue supporting the native Google application ‘Jamboard’. By 1st October 2024, the Jamboard application will become ‘View only’. After 31st December 2024, the application and any of your files saved in this workspace will no longer be accessible. Here is a short QRG on how you can transfer your files to another platform such as Microsoft Whiteboard or Canva.

Jamboard is G Suite's digital whiteboard that offers a rich collaborative experience for classrooms. You can create a Jam, edit it from your device, and share it with others. Everybody can collaborate on the Jam anytime, anywhere.

What can I do with it?

  • Work in real time on collaborative whiteboards from multiple devices.
  • Works in a browser or download Jam Board app.
  • Draw and sketch the way you would on a traditional whiteboard. 
  • Grab images and content from the web and bring them straight into your jam.
  • Pull in work from Docs, Sheets, and Slides; even add photos stored in Drive.
