T4L Computer Equipment Rollout

2024-2025 T4L Computer Equipment Rollout (T4L CER) has commenced

We are excited to advise that the 2024-2025 T4L CER is now open. Eligible schools will receive their school’s unit allocation via email on Friday 6 September 2024. This email will be sent to the Principal and school account, and includes a link to the device catalogue as well as ordering timelines.

Have you been thinking about what devices your school might be ordering? The catalogue follows the same structure as previous rollouts, offering a range of levels across the standard categories of notebooks, Chromebooks, tablets, desktops and monitors.

We recommend using this time to assess your current fleet of student devices. Consider what is being used, how old they are, and discuss what's needed going forward in the school.

If you need advice about device selection you can reach out to your local T4L CER contacts listed in the Help and support section below or if you have questions about the rollout, contact the T4L CER team via email: T4L@det.nsw.edu.au.

T4L CER is a key initiative of the NSW Department of Education. The objective is to ensure NSW school students maintain access to technology that effectively supports teaching and learning.

T4L CER provides schools with access to a selection of supported equipment and delivers new devices to schools to replace older computer equipment and maintain the DoE standard operating environment.

The project operates over a 4 year cycle and uses an established model to calculate an equitable allocation across all eligible sites. Enrolment data is used to calculate the unit allocations with schools receiving an allocation annually or biannually depending on the school size.

The T4L team have been busy working with our partners to ensure a great range of devices are on offer.

The device catalogue includes all devices available for ordering for the T4L Computer Equipment Rollout. The catalogue has been updated with a range of new devices including for the first-time advanced notebooks and desktops.

If schools wish to order Apple devices, the Apple School Manager Organisation ID will need to be located as a first step.

How do I find the ASM Organisation ID?

  1. Login to your Apple School Manager account using your school’s login credentials.
  2. Select Preferences
  3. Select Enrolment Information.
  4. View your Organisation ID under Organisation Info section

What do I do if the Organisation ID: section is blank?

If this section appears blank, it means you do not have an ASM Org ID and you will need to start the process of creating one.

Please call EDConnect on 1300 32 32 32 and select “option 5 for IT”.

Here is an example of what you can say:

“Hello, I am trying to place my T4L Computer Equipment Rollout order for 2024-25, and I don’t have an ASM Org ID. Can you please help me to start the process of creating one?”

EDConnect will provide you with an incident number. The incident number generated by EDConnect will need to be provided in the ‘Incident Number’ field on the Ordering Form. This will enable you to go ahead and place your order for Apple devices.
