Hi there. In this video, we'll look at how you can utilise OneDrive effectively and upload your files quickly and securely, storing them safely in the cloud. OneDrive reduces the need for local storage techniques like USB sticks or portable hard drives as content can be accessed anywhere you have an internet connection. There are two ways to upload files into OneDrive. Let's look at the first option.
Clicking the Add new button. Navigate to the location in your OneDrive where you want to upload your data. Then click the Add new button in the top left-hand corner of the screen. Click Files to upload one or more files within a folder. Click the File, then click Open. If you wish to upload multiple files, click the square next to the file name you wish to upload, then click Open. The files will then upload into that respective location.
The second option is to drag and drop files from your File Explorer window. Click the yellow folder in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen to open File Explorer. To make it easier to view both windows, press the Windows key and the right arrow to snap one of the windows to the right-hand side of the screen. From the remaining windows that appear, choose your browser window to fill the left-hand side of the screen. In the File Explorer window, simply navigate to the file or folder you wish to upload. Then click and drag it into the browser window. The file will begin to upload automatically. You can do the same process with entire folders as well. Depending on the internet connection speed, you can quickly and easily transfer your data into the cloud.
