Transcript of 'Capturing and recording' video

This is the transcript of the 'Capturing and recording' video.

Speaker 1:

Welcome to the world of Clips. In this video, we'll show you how to use the recording and image capture features so you can create fun clips that you can share with your friends, classmates, and your teacher. Let's dive in.

Clips app creates your small videos after you add recordings to your timeline. You can take a photo or record video footage to build out and enhance your final products. Tapping the white circle allows you to take a picture. By selecting either the front and back camera on your device, you can adjust which camera you use. Once this photo has been taken, and you're happy with it, it is not automatically added to your final product until you hold the red button to insert. The longer you hold the red button, the longer the photo will record for. Usually, three to five seconds works best.

Adding videos works the same. Holding the red button allows you to capture the footage you need very quickly. A quick tip for a hands-free experience would be to tap and hold the red button, and slide left towards the padlock. This will lock the recording action in place for that even greater capturing experience. Once you have finished recording your clip, simply tap the red square, and this will add the clip to your timeline. Tapping the clip within the timeline will allow you to delete, review, or add further enhancements, which we will go into in other videos. Clips is such a simple and easy to use recording tool, so get creative, and have some fun in your classroom.
