This is the transcript for 'Adobe Express - Webpages' video.
Speaker 1:
You can use Adobe Express to create super simple and professional looking websites. When you have logged in, you can either select Build a webpage on your dashboard, or you can hit the purple plus and select Webpage.
Choose the type of webpage you wish to build and choose from a templates, or, in the bottom right corner, you may with to ‘Create from Scratch’.
Simply click on Add a title and Add a subtitle to update the text boxes. The plus icon under the title will allow you to add to the header of your page. Selecting Photo will open a panel to the left where you can upload an image from your computer or search the Adobe Stock Library. Once you've placed an image, you can choose part of it to be a focal point, you can replace it with another, or you can delete it. You will also see the options for a short cover and a split layout, which will change how the header looks.
Under the heading is another plus icon that will automatically pop up as you scroll to the bottom of your page. This will always be where you go to, to add anything to your page. You can add a photo in the same way as the header. The settings cog in the bottom right corner of your image allows you to describe the image to make it more accessible for a screen reader.
You can add Text, and then select it to see more text options. The heading and quote styles can be adjusted in your theme, which we will talk about later in this video. You will also see the option for bullets, numbered lists, italics, hyperlinking, and alignment.
Back under the plus icon, you will see you also have the ability to add a button to link out to a separate space. Give your button a title, add the URL address to a website or online file, choose your alignment and select Save. Gifs can be added from the separate GIPHY site by pasting a link.
Same goes with any video link from Adobe Express, YouTube, or Vimeo. The last three options will give you different layouts for your images and text. Photo grid allows you to frame your images, and more options can be found if you hover over separate images. A Glideshow allows text to appear over images as you scroll. Split layout gives you the option to have an image on one side of the screen and something else on the other.
Back under the plus menu you will see you have access to your stuff as well, allowing you to add anything that you have created Adobe Express previously.
If you look at the icons in the top right of the screen, you will notice a paint palette. This is where you can change the theme of your page. There are templates ready to go, or at the bottom, you will find the option to create new theme, customising your fonts, adding you rlogo, changing you colours and more if you look under the advanced tab.
The eye icon allows you to view what the published page would look like. The play icon puts your page into full screen for presentation mode. The icon with the down arrow allows you to download your page as a PDF. Finally, the share button allows you to invite collaborators, publish as a website or share across other plartforms.
What a super simple way to present any topic in a visually appealing way.
