Are you ready for Modern Cloud Management? For many years, schools have been using UDM and software catalogue to manage their Windows devices requiring F12 rebuilds on a regular basis to ensure the most up-to-date version of Windows is available, as well as updating software titles.
A new solution is now available for schools to migrate their devices progressively at a time that suits them. Microsoft Intune, a cloud-based management system and Cloud Device Manager, a custom-built platform, will be used to streamline how schools install Windows and deploy applications.
Some benefits include a simplified device setup, increased speeds of existing devices, quicker deployment of applications, reduced need for regular F12 rebuilds, and some customised settings such as staff and student browser homepages, a default web browser application, and also the ability to delete profiles.
If you have a brand new device in your school, simply unbox it, connect it to the power, and turn on. The device will set up using the built-in process in the Windows operating system for out-of-box experience. For existing devices in your school, they must be F12, using the Windows school's Intune build. After the image process has completed, the experience will be the same as a new device.
