Speaker 1:
In this video you will learn about the Mute and Lock functions within Apple Classroom. These versatile features are incredibly useful for teachers. With the Mute function, teachers can mute all of the devices in the class or just the selected devices they desire. Additionally, teachers can lock student devices, making it a powerful tool to gain the attention of the class. Once the teacher is ready, the devices can easily be unlocked.
So let's dive in and explore these powerful features to mute all of the iPads in the class. Click or tap on the Mute button in the top right-hand corner of the teacher's screen within the Apple Classroom application. This will instantly mute all the iPads in the classroom. To mute individual devices, select the student from the teacher's main screen. Select the Mute button from the menu. Be aware that students can readjust the volume of their devices once they have been muted.
To lock the devices in your class, click or tap on the lock button in the top right-hand corner of the teacher's screen. All devices in the class will be locked, and students will not be able to use the device until all the devices are unlocked.
To unlock the devices in the class, tap the Unlock button, which was formerly the Lock button in the top right-hand corner of the teacher's screen. To lock individual devices, select the student from the teacher's main screen. Select the Lock option from the menu. This will now lock the individual student out of their device. To unlock the device, follow the same procedure, and tap the Unlock option from the menu.
