This is the transcript of the 'CDM - Creating and assigning a site profile' video.
Speaker 1:
Hi there. In this video, we'll look at how to create and assign a site profile to a device, or group of devices.
A site profile can be generated by promoting a label. First, if the label doesn't exist, create a label using the steps outlined in the how-to guide, Creating a label. At the top of the CDM console window, click Site Administration, then Site Profiles. A list of all current site profiles with a brief description is displayed. Click the hamburger icon on the right-hand side of a site profile to view specific details regarding the profile.
To create a site profile, click the Actions button, then Add. A list of labels appears on the right-hand side of the screen. Choose one of these labels to promote to a site profile and click Confirm Selection. Type a brief description for the site profile. Click Confirm. The site profile can now be customised.
To assign a site profile, click the devices tab at the top of the CDM console window, then scroll to search for the devices, or simply type into the filter box to refine your search. You are able to add multiple filters. Select the devices you want to deploy the site profile by ticking the checkbox.
Click Actions, then click Site Profiles. On the right-hand side of the screen, tick the checkbox for the site profile you wish to associate to the device. Click Confirm Selection. After reviewing the changes, click Confirm Request.
