Transcript of 'Navigating the Google Drive' video

This is the transcript of the "Navigating the Google Drive" video.

Speaker 1:

Welcome to part two of our Google Drive navigation tutorial. Now, Google Drive offers a variety of options and these are located on the left-hand side of the page to help you manage and access your files. Let's jump in and explore a few.

Firstly, we have our new button, so this is where you can create new items like Folders, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and other files. You can also upload your own files and folders here, including those that you may have made on Microsoft platforms.

We then have our Home button. This is designed to help you quickly locate files based on your workflows. It includes filters for very viewing, list or grid views, and a Show more files button for additional suggestions.

We then have Activity. This shows any files that have recent comments or components that might need your attention.

We then have Workspaces. This allows you to organise quick access to a collection of up to 25 files. And then we have My Drive. My Drive is your personal storage space where you can upload and create data.

Then we have Shared drives. This is your collaborative space for team files with data owned by all members. Then we have Shared with me. This is where you can find and access files shared with you by other users.

Next up is Recent files. This shows all your recently opened files, helping you jump off just where you finished. Then we have starred. This contains files and resources in your drive that you may have prioritised for quick access.

And last but not least, we have Trash where your recently deleted files and folders will be stored for up to 30 days.

Stay tuned for more Google Drive tutorials.
