Join us for a practical professional learning session designed for NSW DoE teachers who want to better support diverse learners using built-in assistive technology tools. This session will explore a range of accessible features available on common devices and platforms that can help remove barriers to learning and support student participation in the classroom.

You’ll see how simple adjustments and tools can make a significant difference for students with a variety of learning needs, including those with literacy, vision, or language challenges.

In this session, we’ll cover:

  • Built-in tools such as dictation, zoom, read aloud, and Immersive Reader.
  • Practical ways to support students with literacy, vision, or language barriers.
  • How to customise accessibility settings on devices and platforms.
  • Classroom examples of using assistive technology to support inclusive learning.
  • Opportunities to share ideas and strategies with colleagues.

This session will provide practical demonstrations and strategies to help you confidently use assistive technology tools to support access, participation, and engagement for all students.
