STEMaSESH

Are you keen to connect your students with STEM experts?

The stem.T4L team are preparing a number of virtual incursions with STEM specialists throughout 2020 and 2021.

These on-demand sessions will not be the usual passive experiences, they'll be plenty of linked experiences to get your students innovating and creating!

The STEM specialists will discuss their careers, talk about their research and then set a task for students to complete.

Each session will be available on-demand and come complete with a learning resource, that will extend students learning and form a complete STEM learning journey!

More on Drones

Drones in Schools Guideline:

Whilst all of the connected activities do not involve the use of real drones in the classroom, if you are keen to engage with these flying robots there are some guidelines for their use in the classroom. The team from Compliance and Safety have prepared an Equipment Safety in Schools circular that provides advice to schools and a summary of the advice is inserted below:
  • It is not appropriate for Stage 3 students and below to fly drones in DoE schools;
  • Drone mass not to exceed 2kg;
The new guidelines are available from the Equipment Safety in Schools resource and we encourage you to read the full document. See this blog article for further information!
