An update from the Equipment Safety in Schools (ESIS) team

Drones

New advice has been released in Term 4, 2020 regarding the use of drones in schools. Take a moment to ensure that your school usage is in accordance with the safety guidelines. ESIS Drones PDF - Download

Key highlights include:

  • Students in stages 3 and below cannot fly drones in NSW DoE schools

  • Drone mass should not exceed 2kg

The new guidelines are available from the Equipment Safety in Schools resource and we encourage you to read the full document. ESIS Drones PDF - Download
