Transcript of Loop - how to use Loop components

This is the transcript of the "Microsoft Loop - how to use Loop components" video.

Speaker 1:

Hi there. In this video, we will look at how to use Loop components in the following Microsoft 365 applications: Teams Outlook, OneNote for the web, as well as Whiteboard.

To create a Loop in Teams, begin a new chat or conversation thread in a post, and click the button, Loop components. Add a title and then choose from a list of structures, including tables and a variety of lists. Post your message and users will begin collaborating within the Loop. You can click the heading of the Loop to open it in a browser window.

To create a Loop in Outlook, begin a new email. While the cursor is in the body of the email, click on message in the ribbon menu, and then select Loop components. Choose the component you wish to add. Then once you have finished composing your email, send it to your recipients. Due to sharing permissions within emails, recipients will only be able to view the Loop component. To change these share settings, navigate to your Sent Items and click the Loop link in the email that has just been sent. Loop in the browser will open. Click the Share button in the top right-hand corner of the screen and select Loop component. Click settings. Click the button People you choose, and type in the recipient's name. Select, Can edit, from the dropdown menu, then click Apply. The recipient will now be able to respond to the Loop in their inbox.

To insert a Loop component in OneNote, click anywhere inside a OneNote page. Click Insert on the ribbon menu, then click the dropdown menu for Loop components and choose the component you wish to add. Acknowledge that the Loop component will be shared with everyone who has access to the notebook by clicking the Insert and Share button, and begin collaborating.

Open the Whiteboard in which you want to create a new Loop component. Select the three dots from the bottom menu and select the Loop components option. If using a mouse, please click on the canvas to insert the Loop component. Acknowledge that the Loop component will be shared with everyone who has access to the Whiteboard by clicking the Insert and share button, and begin collaborating.
