We have all heard of artificial intelligence (AI), but do you know what it really is, how it works and how and why it will impact on the classroom?
To help, the team from the Digital Technologies Hub at Education Services Australia have put together a series of events on AI covering some key areas:
- an introduction to AI
- training a model
- AI and ethics
- curriculum connections (Australian Curriculum) plus more
These events run over September and can expand your own horizons as well as assist with exploring how you can introduce these concepts in the classrooms. There are sessions with both a primary and secondary focus and running after school at 4:30pm on Tuesday (secondary) and Wednesdays (primary) as well as being available on demand.
To find out more visit their website and sign up to receive the links as well as information on when the on-demand recorded content will be available.
If you attend, don’t forget to share your learning in the T4L Teacher Community so the team can look at scheduling more events on AI in the future.
P.S. Keen to hear more on AI? Why not listen to Episode 17 of the Virtual Staffroom podcast where the team speaks with Google Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning specialist Sara Robinson and link AI to something we do every day, cook!
