Proud to attend the Phoenix Conference
The Technology 4 Learning team is getting out and about in the NSW public school community again. We were privileged to attend the Phoenix Conference last week at the International Convention Centre in Sydney. School leaders, principals and executive staff shared awe-inspiring and emotional stories of how they responded to challenges as their schools and communities endured catastrophic bushfires and floods.
Learning and listening
The T4L team was on hand to listen and learn from the leaders and school staff. We demonstrated some digital classroom technology in action and advised leaders on how to integrate resources and digital devices into teaching and learning to both save time and increase student engagement. The Education Minister the Hon. Sarah Mitchell popped by the T4L stand and was briefed on the Technology 4 Learning mission to support schools to help them build back better. She saw a demonstration of the telepresence robot in action as well as other innovations on the stand.
T4L on the road
Our next major face-to-face T4L professional learning event is coming up in Dubbo on June 2 at the Dubbo School of Distant Education. The PL agenda was designed to meet the needs of rural and regional leaders and teachers. If you’re in the area, you’re warmly invited to attend!
