Use Google for Education tools to assist with assessment and feedback in the classroom

Google for education

Today’s students have more information at their fingertips than ever before. Google for Education strives to make sure students have the tools to not only find information, but also learn from it and make it their own.

Originality reports are a new assignment feature in G Suite that can help students improve their writing, while also providing teachers with a fast and easy way to check work without leaving the assessment interface.

Teachers often spend a lot of time marking and providing constructive comments to help students grow.  With the new rubrics feature in Google Classroom, teachers can now create a rubric while they create an assignment and reuse rubrics from a previous assignment rather than having to create one from scratch. Teachers can also export and import Classroom rubrics to share them with colleagues. Teachers can also mark student work with a rubric from both the student listing page and Classroom’s grading view, where they can select rating levels as they review student work.

Since Quizzes launched in Google Forms, teachers have expanded the possibilities of the tool both inside and outside the classroom. Why don’t you try incorporating a Quiz in your next Form? You can explore and experiment with using Google Forms in creative ways
