Inspire student problem solvers with micro:bit

Are you keen to get your students prototyping solutions to real-world problems with tech?

Join T4L micro:bit champions as well as a special guest from the global micro:bit foundation as we explore an exciting new competition that will enable your students to get involved in tackling the United Nations Global Goals with technology.

You don't need a class set of micro:bits to enter and participate. There is an online virtualiser that you can use, as well as plugged and unplugged ways of entering this competition. Learn more about the competition in the latest edition of magazine.T4L

In this webinar you will:

  • learn about the micro:bit ‘Do Your Bit’ competition and how you can enter
  • participate live in a hands-on micro:bit Challenge to build your confidence with micro:bit
  • hear examples from last year’s competition that will blow your mind and warm your heart
  • learn how to use both the virtual and physical micro:bit to get your students developing digital solutions in the classroom
  • discover some awesome teaching and learning resources to inspire and enable your students.

Plus, you will also have the opportunity to hear from NSW own micro:bit champions as they talk about some of the projects they've seen students create in local classrooms!

To participate fully in this webinar, you will need:

  • a computer with an internet connection and a browser open, ready to create!
  • optionally a second computer connected to a screen or a projector if you are in a group, so you can both follow along and complete the live challenges at the same time.
  • check out the Micro:bit resources from the stem learning board and the ‘do your bit with micro:bit’ page.
