Google Virtual Visit – Go behind the scenes

Teacher and student learning together with technology

Would you students be inspired to see behind the scenes of Google and connect with some real-life Googlers?

Google Australia invites you and your students to connect with them virtually for a Google School Visit.

In this virtual visit you and your students will:

  • receive an introduction to Google

  • be part of a panel session with real Google software engineers

This experience will give the students the chance to ask questions and learn about life at Google, as well as a window into studying computer science and forging a career in technology.

The visits are completely free of charge and are designed for students in the later stages of high school, with a focus on careers and study in computer science and software engineering.

If you are interested in more fully incorporating this experience into your classroom, the Google team have included a Student Workbook, along with a Teacher Guide for you and your students to get prepared for the visit as well as providing the opportunity for discussions around careers in technology to continue after the session.

To make the most out of this session we recommend having the webinar showing on projector or panel to enable the whole class to be a part of the experience. Due to capacity limits we advise against allowing multiple connections within the same classroom.

Simply click below to register with your Department of Education email address and you will receive an email confirmation with your link to join on the day.

Please note this session is being delivered by Google Learning Specialists (not the NSW Department of Education). If you have any concerns, questions, ideas, or thoughts after the session, please contact the T4L team.
