Reimaging indigenous fish traps for sustainable fishing calls on all students to engage their creative thinking skills and apply them to 3D Design software to capture and share their thinking.
This class activity will be lead by stem.T4L leaders. You and your students are invited to attend - just register, receive the link and zoom your way in. The only requirements are:
A screen/projector where you and your students can see/watch the stem.T4L leader.
Speakers to ensure the students can hear the instructions.
Internet to ensure a continuous connection.
A 3D Design tool on your device such as Tinkercad.
In this activity, we will examine traditional fishing methods from around the world, and look at how different cultures build sustainable fishing practices. Using Tinkercad, we will explore how we can reimagine fishing traps for today’s world, building and evaluating prototypes for 3D printing. This activity will allow students in S2 and S3 to build and consolidate their systems thinking skills and design thinking skills.
