In this activity, students will investigate pollution in the ocean, and discuss ways of using technology to help clean the ocean. Students will examine the different sensors and build options available in the EV3, and discuss how each of the different features might be used to construct an automated vessel to clean a specific area of maritime pollution.
This session is designed for students with a limited understanding of the EV3. Those with more experience may wish to join in for Part B only. This activity will allow students in S3 and S4 to build and consolidate their systems thinking skills and design thinking skills.
