Coding with Apple - everyone can be coders

Power up your #HourofCode and celebrate Computer Science Education week with this exciting live virtual incursion!

Join the T4L Apple team in this special Live Learning Challenge to start coding with Swift Playgrounds. This fun and friendly series of challenges are perfect for students in Stages 2 and above to learn how to code as no previous coding knowledge is required.

 Students will learn:

  • the range of Swift Playground apps and what they do
  • how to get started with Hello Byte to learn the basics of coding
  • which challenges to try next to extend their knowledge and skills

Before the session:

  • Swift Playgrounds works on both iPads and Mac computers. Please download the Swift Playground app on your devices or if you already have it installed, ensure you have the latest version.
  • Download A Quickstart to Code guide before the session
  • Download the following additional playgrounds In Swift Playgrounds on all devices. First tap 'See All', then tap 'Get' to download:
    • 'Hello Byte'
    • Learn to Code 1' 
    • 'Spirals' 
  • We recommend running this webinar on a computer connected to a projector or a panel at the front of the room so all students can see and participate.
