In this whole day Minecraft: Education Edition academy, participants will focus on:
what Minecraft: Education Edition is
why Minecraft: Education Edition has a place in the classroom
how Minecraft: Education Edition is uniquely suited for teaching and learning
the power of game-based learning in the classroom
Participants will be led through a facilitated session, learning the controls as well as the game features necessary to gain confidence in Minecraft: Education Edition. Participants will take the role of students and participate actively in a learning experience showcasing Minecraft as a creative platform.
Finally, participants will explore the plethora of resources available to continue their teaching and learning journey with Minecraft: Education Edition.
Completing the Minecraft: Education Edition academy workshop will contribute 5 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing 2.6.2 and 3.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
