What is Computer Science?

‘Computer science’ – a subject area more traditionally know by this name in the USA is an area of study related to STEM but more intensely focused on coding and computational thinking. It also stimulates creativity, problem-solving and logic.

What is Hour of Code?

The Hour of Code movement is a global one that this year involves over 577 events registered in Australia alone in 2020 (at time of writing) and over 52,000 globally. It started as a simple one-hour activity in the classroom – literally an ‘hour of code’ – to demystify the skills and activities around coding.
