Congratulations to McCallums Hill Public School in south-west Sydney, who recently took out first place in the Western Sydney Airport Minecraft Challenge, winning $20K in the process. The challenge was a joint initiative of the NSW Department of Education, Liverpool City Council and Western Sydney Airport and encouraged students to use Minecraft to plan and build an aerotropolis around the Airport. Students had to work together to design their airports, using problem-solving skills to build and explain their concepts. For more information on the winners, head here. If you are interested in how to start your journey with Minecraft you can read up on what Como West Public School is doing in the latest issue of magazine.T4L.
